Breakthroughs in women’s health in 2022

By Rachel Gregory, Editorial Production Manager

This time last year, the team at Thrive shared our pick of women’s health wins. It was so popular, and there are so many new ones to shout about, that we thought we’d do it again for 2022.With the publication of the Women’s Health Strategy in England, work to close the gender health gap continued. Of course, there’s still progress to be made and work to do, but it’s great to see so much change in such a range of areas. Just one example is the Menopause Workplace Pledge, which has 1700+ sign-ups compared to the 100 we celebrated this time last year! We’ve also seen advancements in sport, maternity care and cancer screening – many of which have been led by women. For other recent innovations in the women’s health space, you might like Thrive’s article on femtech advances in 2022.
